Appreciation and Kindness

Monday 18th May. As part of the kindness initiative linked to Mental Health Awareness Week it has been suggested it would be a great opportunity to show your appreciation to our Bin men and Posties by putting a "Thank You" message on your bin on Monday morning, and a message by your letterbox.

Freecycle Fridays

If you have items such as plants, garden produce etc which you no longer need, put them at the front of your property on a Friday so they can be collected by others who might be able to use them.

Domestic Tip Re-opened

The tip re-opened on May 11th. It is taking garden waste and general waste only. No large or electrical items. Please only use if you are unable to safely store your rubbish at home for the moment. Essential journeys only.

What is EBRA?

The East Broyle Estate is found in the north west of Chichester and comprises of 410 Houses on 17 roads, crescents and closes named after cathedral cities.

The East Broyle Residents’ Association was set up in 1986 and has fought many ‘battles’ since then on behalf of those living on East Broyle. An example of this are the large open spaces to the left and right of the entrance to East Broyle – The Green, which has been protected from plans for further building or car park provision by being registered as a ‘Village Green’.

We have an active residents’ committee with many others contributing in different ways such as distributing the Bulletin, monitoring the salt and grit bins, planting bulbs and watering and weeding the wall at the entrance to the estate (The Enhancement Group). We also have a Walking Group and a Family History Group. In the past we have had garage sales, coffee mornings and Picnics on the Green. We hope to continue with these so any help you can offer would be gratefully received. Our committee has representatives for Highways, Neighbourhood Watch, Planning and Trees.

We keep in touch with you through postings on this website, our facebook page and the Bulletin. EBRA is run for residents by residents. The same goes for the Bulletin which is published 3 times a year. If you want something included in the Bulletin please email it to the Bulletin Editor: editor@eastbroyle.org. Back copies can be found here.
