Our vigilence was tested again
Items highlighted for future Infrastructure Plan Prioritisation and/or to be progressed in other ways:
• School Safety Zone – Jessie Younghusband Primary School.
We spoke against this proposal at the meeting noting that Norwich Rd is a virtual "No through road" serving estate traffic only and that the parents parking ensures slow speeds. We also questioned the bureaucratic one solution fits all approach, while this one is highly appropriate in some places it is not appropiate in this instance.
The Committee then agreed that its implementation be again deferred.
We will continue to fight this bureaucratic box ticking while continuing our good relationship with and support for Jessie Younghusband Primary School
