Earlier Work

New for 2011

Henry Adams LLP has now taken up the cudgels and harried the Chichester District Council Cabinet meeting on the 5th July and the full meeting on the 19th July to bring this option back into the Replacement Consultation

Having worked to have the option removed EBRA was pleased to see these attempts rebuffed - for now

Chichester District Councils Focus on Strategic Growth Options “consultation”

Proposal by WYG Planning and Design

on behalf of Linden Homes Ltd and Miller Strategic Land

WYG (WYG Planning and Design) say that a significant advantage with the development of this site is that the north-eastern section (both sides of St Pauls Road) of the site is sustainably located and can be delivered as a distinct first phase for around 500-700 dwellings to help meet housing needs in the shorter term. See Appendix 2 or as a saveable pdf

WYG have engaged highway consultants Savell Bird and Axon who say that they have identified that the existing road network can accommodate this scheme of around 500-700 dwellings without the requirement for upgrade works to the A27, subject to minor improvements to the local road network.

WYG say that the whole site could accommodate up to 2,000 dwellings and be delivered in a phased manner.

The WYG site master plan Appendix 1 ( or as a saveable pdf ) shows how the site could be developed for a scheme of up to 2,000 homes. This shows a mixed-use scheme integrating, in addition to housing, a local centre to provide for day-to-day needs, employment, school, improved pedestrian, cycle and public transport routes and a significant area of public open space including a country park.
